Parktown High School for Girls are based in Johannesburg, South Africa - they aim to develop the uniqueness of each
individual learner by means of a well-balanced education programme that caters for the whole learner.
They provide education within a multi-cultural environment that promotes an appreciation of diversity and prepares
learners for the workplace of the future.
Challenge
Parktown High School for Girls needed a website that could serve content to their target audiences: students,
teachers, parents and alumni. There aren't many school websites in South Africa and the few that do exist either
lack useful content, have a poor navigation system or are poorly maintained - Parktown High School for Girls wanted
their website to stand our from the rest.
Solution
Parktown High School for Girls deployed Morphogine School Edition with the FREE collection of website skins.
Morphogine includes all the systems required to manage a successful website such as a content
management system (CMS), customer relationship management system (CRM), link management system and a photo
editing system.
They selected a webteam, a group of girls and a teacher who would create and manage the website using the software.
Morphogine allows for the creation of administrator accounts which can be assigned specific administrative
privileges - an account was created for each student and they were assigned responsibility for a particular section of
the school website.
Parktown High School for Girls had content and photo galleries up and running within a day - Morphogine
automatically rescaled the photos, generated the website pages, thumbnails and links needed to display the photos
on the website, and uploaded them all to Morphogine’s web servers.
The webteam get together once a week to update the website. Morphogine CRM system lets the various
target audiences register on the website and then allows them to use the various user group modules such as
message forums.
Morphogine includes modules like voting polls, calendars, photo galleries, product catalogues
and website search which can all be configured and managed at any time.
